Raw Wood is a unique and free fusion of musical styles from classical to modern, with a strong ethnic imprint. Middle Eastern melodies, African rhythms, Celtic harmonies, rock soloism, classical phrasing, blend together in a unique, sanguine and evocative style. The entire musical project revolves around the guitar, used as a melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, percussive instrument and played with unusual techniques to recreate sounds and atmospheres of worlds apparently distant from each other. The title Raw Wood is the translation of the Chinese ideogram “pu檏” in the Dao De Jing (Tao Te Ching), the famous classic of the Taoist master Laozi (Lao Tzu). The in Laozi's work it indicates the simplicity of raw and uncarved wood, which contains all the power and naturalness, the ability to adapt to any form. The title was chosen for its symbolic meaning and its natural reference to the simplicity and wood of the guitar.
